The People behind Local Ledgers
Welcome to Local Ledgers
Small business owners wear many hats...often far too many and for far too long. As hard as you try, or as stubborn as you are, you can’t be a jack of all trades. If you’re ready to be done struggling with the headache and hassle of doing your own books, you’ve come to the right place. We are problem solvers. There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution, so we carefully evaluate each client’s needs to craft an approach that addresses their specific pain points. Local ledgers is more than just a virtual bookkeeping company for small businesses. We pride ourselves in embracing technology and creating automated solutions for our clients. Yes, we work for you, but we come alongside you as a partner committed to helping ensure your success. So...how about if you focus on what you’re great at and let us take care of the books. Deal?
Founder & CEO
Carrie is a champion for small businesses and deeply passionate about helping them succeed.
She owned an independent restaurant for 5 years, so she has walked more than a mile in your shoes. It taught her several things: always work hard to create a positive experience for your customers; focus on what you’re good at and let someone else do the rest; and you learn as much from your mistakes as you do your successes!
She prides herself in offering services with the highest ethical standards. It doesn’t get a whole lot more personal than people’s finances. Without trust, integrity, and honesty...We would not have a business.
She was born and raised in Minnesota and met her husband at the University of Minnesota (go Gophers). They moved to Sammamish, Washington in 1998 and raised their 4 kids here. She loves to golf, hike, cross country ski and visit lively main streets and small businesses all over the world.
Raised in NYC and Coral Springs, Florida, Amy learned at a young age the value of integrity and hard work. Her educational background in Business Management at Broward College has translated well into her career path in administration, information technology and bookkeeping over the last 20+ years.
Amy is a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor and routinely assists clients to navigate bookkeeping options and alternatives. Working with a variety of clients and supporting small businesses is the most rewarding part of her career.
Amy and her family relocated from South Florida to Washington 10 years ago and have been in love with the Pacific Northwest ever since. She enjoys traveling, hiking Mt. Rainier, and vacationing in the San Juan Islands. When she isn’t spending time with her family, she is dedicated to serving her clients, so her clients get more time to focus on what they do best — growing their business.
Brianna Black joined Local Ledgers in 2021. She has four years background in payroll and bookkeeping. She started earning her degree in nursing, but soon found a love for numbers and switched to accounting. She graduated in December 2019 with her Associate’s in Accounting from Pensacola State College.
Born in Indiana, Brianna moved to Milton, Florida at the age of four and has been there ever since. She loves the warm weather and sunshine that the Panhandle has to offer. During her free time, Brianna loves spending her time at a river or park with her daughter.
Naushina Esmail discovered her passion for accounting in high school. Today she holds a degree in Accounting and Business Management from IFA de Rambouillet, France, and speaks 6 languages.
She counts among her experience volunteering as an accountant for a Washington-based non-profit organization and working for a large accounting firm in France.
She was born in Tanzania, has Indian origins, and lived in France before moving to Seattle, Washington 10 years ago. She is an active community volunteer, loves the natural beauty surrounding the PNW, the never-ending rain and spending time with her family.
